Moving Realizations
I now feel settled in enough that it would be alright to have people over. Pretty much everything is unpacked. Exclusions are pictures, that may never be unpacked, and some home office stuff, that is sitting in a box next to my desk. I’ve taken out about 15 boxes worth of trash and washed about…

Millionaire Who Said He ‘Tripped,’ Fell on Teen Cleared of Rape Charge
USA Today published the craziest headline I’ve ever seen, Millionaire Who Said He ‘Tripped,’ Fell on Teen Cleared of Rape Charge. It only took 30 minutes for the jury to deliberate prior to the acquittal. This falls firmly in the stuff I can’t make up category.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day, weekend, and week. The weather has been warm and rainy around here so it hasn’t felt like a typical December or holiday season, but I put up my blue and white Christmas tree to make it look like one.

Moving Weekend
This weekend was moving weekend for me. I moved from a friends house to an apartment that’s a little under 10 miles away, so it’s not a significant change of location. Even though it’s only been a couple nights I’ve already noticed the increase of boredom due to living by myself. I’m still in the…

Chile 2015
Last week I was in Chile for CC Chile’s bid event. The cheerleading and event in general have improved each year of the 3 I’ve gone. Our hosts were as gracious as ever and I believe I became Oli’s favorite American. I also learned I look like an M&M, but that’s for another day. Hopefully…

Macy’s Warranty
I recently ordered furniture from Macy’s and as just about every retailer does when you buy something worth more than $5, they asked if I wanted to add the extended warranty. My first thought was no because it seems like most of these offers are somewhere between useless and scams, but I listened. The price…

Long Week Ahead
This is the beginning of a long week. Later tonight I fly home from Chile and go straight to the office for a couple meetings on Tuesday. Wednesday I have another doctor’s appointment then have to sign a lease. Thursday should be a normal day, then Friday is moving day. Moving isn’t fun, but it…

Checkbox Confusion
Sometimes I see something that wasn’t well thought out. This one is from Wells Fargo. Do you check the box if it is or if it is not your mobile number? Are you sure?

College Football Playoff
The College Football Playoff teams have been announced and there was no surprise with the teams selected. Clemson remained first and will play number four Oklahoma in Miami. Alabama remained second and will face third ranked Michigan State in Dallas. The only hint of surprise was Michigan State jumping over Oklahoma, but based on the…
