Team USA will compete at the International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships at Disney’s Wide World of Sports this week. Opening ceremonies and partner stunt competitions will be held on Thursday and the team competitions will be on Friday. International Cheer Union & USA Cheer

Varsity, Jammy and Nfinity have teamed up for a post Worlds party. We won’t post the details here, but it is nice to see Varsity and Jammy working together.

Varsity started publicizing it’s Varsity All Star website about a month ago. According to them, this will be the place to go for information on Varsity events, the Varsity Family Plan, and training modules for running gyms and all star programs. Varsity All Star

The GotSpirit Network is the Georgia based owner of GotSpirit.tv, Ga Cheerleading Vent, and Doc Spirit. GotSpirit.tv has conducted a series of interview with coaches, etc. from Georgia. The post season for the Spirit Industry kicked off last weekend with the International All Levels Championships in Atlanta and Los Angeles. JAM Brand’s SpiritTown USA contest is down to the Top 5. Fans have until Wednesday, April 29th to cast votes for Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Louisville, Memphis, or Seymour, IN. The Top 5 will be announced the week of May 5th, with SpiritTown USA being named on May 8th.

Results from the team portion of NCA College Nationals have been posted on Varsity.com. The surprise of the weekend was Weber State winning the Division 1 crown with traditional power Stephen F. We’ve now been told Alabama officials have changed their minds and will allow the cheerleaders to continue competing. The question is what caused the change of heart?

USASF.net has an article stating the rules were updated on March 31st. We haven’t gone through them to see what changed from the update a few weeks ago, but hopefully there is nothing significant. USASF

National Cheer Safety Foundation has sent word Fox Sports Network (FSN) will be airing an episode of Sport Science pertaining to Cheerleading injuries. The episode is scheduled to air on April 5th at 9pm.
