USASF and IASF World Championship Clarification

To all USASF Members:

We are aware of the recent announcement by IASF concerning the World Championship and the potential for a date in September along with virtual, in person and hybrid options. This announcement does not change ANYTHING for our 2021 Cheerleading and Dance Worlds event in May.

Specifically:

  • All U.S. and non-U.S. teams can compete in ALL Senior Cheer Divisions, International Open Cheer Divisions, Senior Dance Divisions, and Open Dance Divisions offered at the 2021 Worlds May 6-10.
  • All Senior Cheer Divisions, International Open Cheer Divisions, Senior Dance Divisions, and Open Dance Divisions are still required to earn 2020-2021 Worlds Bids to compete at the 2021 Cheerleading and Dance Worlds (this includes Applicant Bids).
  • All current Worlds Substitution and Alternate Rules as written in the Worlds Registration & Information Packets are still applicable for the 2021 Cheerleading and Dance Worlds in May.

The IASF is trying to provide another competition opportunity for most of the non-U.S. teams that are unable to attend Worlds in May. In doing so, they are making the same opportunity available to U.S. teams in the International Open Cheer and Open Dance Divisions to compete in September.

Stay up-to-date with all things Worlds by visiting The Cheerleading Worlds and The Dance Worlds.
