• USASF sent out information regarding applying for the Regional Advisory Boards.
• USASF held webinars regarding the Regional Conventions.
• Varsity announced judges training in Louisville, KY (June 26th), Anaheim, CA (July 9th), and Dallas, TX (August 13th).
• USASF is holding Music Copyright & Licensing webinars to explain some of the associated legal issues.
• Aloha Production announced it acquired Mid Atlantic Cheer Championships, including the March bid event.
• Fortune published A Fight Over Cheerleading Uniforms Is Heading to the Supreme Court, about determining what is copyright-able for cheerleading uniforms and maybe fashion in general. Bloomberg published a similar article titled Cheerleading Uniform Copyright Clash Gets U.S. High Court Review.
• Omaha.com published More Than Pompoms: Competitive Cheerleading Stresses Athleticism, With Elements of Gymnastics, Dance.
• The Desert News published Arianne Brown: The Day I Stopped Stigmatizing Cheerleading, about a mother realizing cheerleading isn’t what she thought it was.
• The Atlanta Journal Constitution published Cheerleaders at Georgia had More Concussions Than Football Players, in an article about concussion research in college athletics.
• The Commercial Appeal published In Collierville, Competitive Cheerleading Could Cost $3,850 a Year, talking about the costs of school related extra curricular activities.
