The Kokomo Perspective published Disney, Cheerleading and Random Kindness, regarding “being recipients of a beautiful gesture by the younger generation” during UCA All Star Nationals.
If you have never witnessed cheerleading competition of this magnitude, you have missed incredible athletic ability. From a spectator standpoint just the performances are breathtaking, and I had no idea young girls and women were capable of such agility. From back flips, multiple backflips, forward flips, even backflips with twists, I was amazed. The cheerleading competition was held in Disney Hollywood Studios and ESPN Wide World of Sports with each facility having a capacity of 10,000 spectators. I witnessed all this through eyes that remembered the cheerleaders of the 1950s whose basic function was simply leading cheers.
