WAFB published Chico’s Story, about LSU’s cheerleading coach, Chico Garcia. Chico was involved in a boating accident just over 2 years ago that put him in a wheelchair. It’s likely he’ll rely on one for the rest of his life, but he’s already overcome some obstacles doctors didn’t think he would.
“To go from being fully independent, like I was, to being fully dependent now on somebody, there’s not one thing I can do by myself and that is mental torture,” Garcia said.
