Inside Cheerleading Magazine and Cheer Biz News Partner with AmeriCheer to Present The Spirited Program of the Year

Inside CheerleadingATLANTA, Ga. – February 10, 2012 – Inside Cheerleading magazine and AmeriCheer are pleased to announce that the companies will partner to present the 2012 Spirited Program of the Year. The winning program will be featured in Inside Cheerleading magazine and the winning coach will be featured in Cheer Biz News.

AmeriCheer was built on the principles of integrity, dedication, and spirit and and we’re proud to highlight some of the programs that showcase the best in cheerleading.”

AmeriCheer LogoSpirited Program of the Year, established in 2006, began as an initiative to increase sportsmanship, crowd support, positive attitude and overall spirit among cheerleading programs across the country. The award is given to the organization that shows the most spirit, sportsmanship and celebration at AmeriCheer events and honors programs that are not only supportive of their own team, but also encourage and support their fellow competitors. The award will be presented at the AmeriCheer InterNational Championships in March at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. In addition to the Trophy, members of the winning program – including athletes, coaches and parents – will receive limited edition commemorative shirts recognizing the achievement. The programs will also be featured in the May/June issue of Inside Cheerleading and the June/July issue of Cheer Biz News.

15 teams have been identified as finalists for the 2012 Spirited Program of the Year title and will compete in March at the InterNational Championships in Orlando, Florida. Finalists will participate in the 2012 InterNational Championship Pep Rally and will be judged by a panel of representatives from AmeriCheer, AmeriDance and Inside Cheerleading magazine.

Most recent Spirited Program of the Year award winners include Fishers Fusion Dance Team of Fishers, IN (2011) and SCC Allstars of Scottsboro, AL (2010).
