CheerXm1.com is excited to announce the launching of the Top Ten Countdown Hour to premiere Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 9 pm EST.
“Everyone talks about who has the BEST cheer music, now we are developing an radio show that will countdown the top voted songs till we reach the number one song,” states Melissa Hay, President of CheerXm1.com. The process is simple, the top requested songs will be placed on a voting ballot located on www.cheerXm1.com, Voting will begin each Monday at Noon and end Tuesday at midnight with the countdown on Wednesday evenings at 9 pm EST. There is a catch; the team has to compete that weekend to make the music eligible. “We want to be fair to all teams and to make sure that the music is being heard in the arenas/venues, so only teams that have competed that weekend are eligible” says Hay. The only exception is the Number One Song, “Cheer programs are too competitive, we can’t win one weekend and not be able to defend our title – so the number one song is automatically carried over for voting the next week”, explains Hay.
“This is an interactive format, Hay continues, that will allow cheerleaders, parents, coaches and fans to vote and select the winner from the weekend competitors – it has nothing to do with the choreography or whether a team hits the routine or not, only if you like the music and the mix.”

The ballot will be posted Monday, January 16 at noon on www.cheerXm1.com and all teams on the ballot must have competed the weekend of January 14-15 2012 to be eligible.
