CheerXm1 Announces the Gym, Coach and Be on Look Out Awards for June

CheerXm1 proudly announces the June recipients of the Gym, Coach and Be on the Look Out monthly Awards. Each winner was nominated by the cheer community, parents and/or athletes and final selection was completed by a committee selected by CheerXm1. The criteria for each award differs slightly, teams and coaches not selected will have their nomination carried over for the following months.

Criteria for Selection:

Gym of the Month:

  • Must be in good standing with USASF
  • Must have a team represented at Worlds/received a Worlds Bid
  • Community Involvement
  • Numerous National Titles

Be On the Look Out Gym:

  • Must be in good standing with USASF
  • National Titles
  • Less than 125 Cheerleaders
  • Gym Opened 5 years of less

Coach of the Month:

  • Can be High School, International or All Star Coach
  • Certified Coach
  • Community Involvement
  • Titles Won

Nfinity Athletic sponsors the Gym of the Month and Be on the Look Out Gym Awards. Each recipient will receive a banner courtesy of Nfinity and CheerXm1.

Inside Cheerleading Magazine sponsors the Coach of the Month Award. The recipient will receive a banner courtesy of Inside Cheerleading and CheerXm1.

The June Gym of the Month is CheerForce California. With 5 locations Simi Valley, San Diego, Rancho, OC, and Agoura, CheerForce is known for their innovative choreography and clean technique. With numerous national championship banners in each location, CheerForce had four teams representing them at the Cheerleading Worlds 2011.

Miami Elite was the May Gym of the Month. Miami Elite are the first back to back World Champions. Miami Elite, in their first year back since 2005, has re-established themselves as one of the premiere programs in the nation.

The June Be On the Look Out Gym is Heat Athletics from Sussex, Wisconsin. Heat Athletics has seven teams with two representing them at the Cheerleading Worlds 2011. They were the first gym in Wisconsin to receive a full paid bid to the Cheerleading Worlds.

The May Be on the Look Out Gym was Cheer Infinity from Wilmington, NC. Cheer Infinity has numerous national championships and was represented at the Cheerleading Worlds in 2011.

Trace Tracy, the Coach of Western Ontario and Power Cheer All Stars from London, Ontario Canada is the June Coach of the Month. Trace is known for his innovative stunts and choreography. He is taking over the role of Phyllis Schatz, from Shaler High School in Glenshaw PA. Phyllis coaches Shaler High School who have numerous National and State Championships.
