USASF: Dance National Advisory Committee Elections

We are proud to announce the first annual election for the USASF Dance; National Advisory Committee (DNAC). The DNAC will be the democratically elected body within USASF Dance that sets the agenda for the organization.

As a part of the USASF, competitive all star Dance is a growing market with changing needs, which may not always match those of all star cheerleading. The DNAC will be an essential collection of industry leaders in Event Production, Direction/Coaching, Judging and affiliate membership.

The DNAC will be responsible for research and strategy for membership and growth initiatives. They will be led by a Chairperson and Secretary who will sit on the USASF Dance Committee. DNAC members will commit to 1 annual conference call and 1 annual physical meeting.

Nominations

Any active member of the all star dance community may nominate prospective DNAC members.

There are 4 categories in which equal representation is sought: Directors/Coaches, Event Producers, Judges and Professional members.

The Directors/Coaches’ category includes teachers, studio/gym directors, team coaches, studio/gym owners, and choreographers. Event Producers and Judges are those who are producing and judging dance events and/or events that include dance competition. Affiliates include, for example, magazine publishers and equipment suppliers.

A prerequisite for anyone accepting the nomination, for the DNAC, is commitment to fully participate including personally attending both meetings.

All nominations must be sent to Tegan by Tuesday February 8, 2010. Please include your information as well as the name and contact information of the individual you are nominating.
