NCSTA: NCSTA Announces Blake as First Executive Director

The National Competitive Stunts and Tumbling Association has announced their first Executive Director, John Blake.

JULY 22, 2010 – The National Competitive Stunts and Tumbling Association has announced the hiring of John Blake as its first executive director for the 2010-11 season. Blake was a part of the team that tested and perfected the NCSTA’s meet format last season and was a head judge at numerous NCSTA meets around the country. He is also a 15-year member of the cheerleading and competitive cheer community and will serve as an excellent leader for the NCSTA as they continue to evolve and grow the sport at the collegiate level.

“I am honored and excited to accept this position with the NCSTA,” Blake said. “I look forward to continuing our pursuit of NCAA emerging sports status and with such a strong nucleus of coaches and administrators to work with, I am confident in our continued progress and development toward our shared goal.”

About the NCSTA: The National Competitive Stunts and Tumbling Association is made up of six member institutions that sponsor stunts and tumbling at the varsity intercollegiate level. The coaches and administrators from Maryland, Oregon, Baylor, Quinnipiac, Fairmont State and Azusa Pacific created the NCSTA with the goal of evolving and standardizing the sport of stunts and tumbling at the collegiate level and guiding it to NCAA emerging sports status.
