I recently ordered furniture from Macy’s and as just about every retailer does when you buy something worth more than $5, they asked if I wanted to add the extended warranty. My first thought was no because it seems like most of these offers are somewhere between useless and scams, but I listened. The price wasn’t bad, being about the same as the high sales tax in the area, so there was a little part of me that said I should get it just in case. Then she said something that tipped the scales. That was if I don’t use the warranty I get a credit back for the full amount. I’ve never had another warranty tell me that before and it made it an easy decision to go ahead and get it.
