A Recording is Starting

I normally post a bunch of pictures on Fridays, but I didn’t take many this week. So instead I’m going to make a first world complaint. The screen in the picture pops up any time it’s set to record something on 2 channels.

That part is understandable. The questionable thing is it pops up when the TV is already on one of the channels it needs to be on and the only options are to cancel the other recording or switch to the other channel. Why can’t it just be smart enough to realize it’s on one of the channels it needs to be on and let it be?
