Lorraine

Last week was my first solid week in Memphis in a while. One of the days was a long and odd day. It started with a doctor’s appointment which consisted of laying still for a long time, something I’m not very good at doing. I then went to a diner I heard about for lunch not realizing it was next to the Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther King was assassinated. After eating I walked around the area for a bit and I need to go back and do the tour one day soon, but didn’t have time to wait through the line this day. On the way to work from there I passed an upside down minivan in the middle of the street. I don’t know what flipped it as there wasn’t another car or curb or anything obvious in it’s way. The thing that stood out as I drove by it was a baby stroller being visible through the opened back.

After that was a couple hours of work before heading to a WordPress meetup. Overall the meetup was fine, but there was one guy that kept interrupting people even when they were answering a question he asked. Leaving there I found a place with good fried catfish so I may not have to get it every time I go visit David and Kendall or Josh and Kat. The pleasant ending to the day was there being a hot tub out back when I got home.
