I didn’t know what to call this article because I wasn’t sure what was going to come out when I started typing, hence the catchy name. I spent the other night in the hospital, which was enough to get my mind churning. It’s because I have an irregular heartbeat, which is something I’ve known for about 20 years. This summer there was much more effort put into determining why which has led to about 10 doctors appointments and tests this summer, the latest being a test that required an overnight stay in the hospital. The good news is it’s led to a doctor saying I have a soft spot in my heart, which I’m pretty sure the Tinys claimed years ago.

One of the things that ran through my mind as I was sitting in the hospital was how much changed in a week. A short 7 days before checking into the hospital I was in Vegas having brunch and mimosas as the start of a great day with friends. A couple days later I was in the doctor’s office talking about the tests I had taken over the summer. The day after that I saw a specialist and 2 days after that I was in the hospital. Everything went so quick it was hard to process. I remember being asked if I was OK and the only honest answer I could give was “I don’t know”. It was definitely a week of change and information overload.

I’m not even sure why I’m writing this, but it’s what came out when I sat down and starting typing so I guess it wanted to get out of my head. Hopefully this process ends soon and I can return to life without seeing a doctor every week.
