JAM U in Louisville

Last weekend I went to Louisville to credential at JAM U. I didn’t get to hear many people speak, but enjoyed listening to those I had the chance to. Those were Sydney McBride talking about giving your gym an identity, Tom Stec regarding what you are doing wrong from a judge’s perspective, Jessica Legette and Tom doing a Q&A session, Sarah Smith talking scoring, and Mike Blaylock talking about passion disguised as a talk about championship practices. It was the first time I’ve heard Sydney, Tom, and Mike talk and was impressed with all of them.

The highlight of the weekend was going to Jeff Ruby’s with Jessica. A good steak with a good friend that has good conversation and good bourbon is hard to beat, but we’ll try in Atlanta in a couple weeks.
