Stating the Bottom Line Up Front is a way of talking to people that gets straight to the point. Have you ever asked someone what time to pick them up or meet them someplace and their answer goes some thing like:
Well, I have to do this, and this, and this which will take about an hour, then go home and do this, but it will be rush hour so I need 30 extra minutes, then I have to get ready and get there, so how about at 6?
Would you have preferred if they just said 6 and left it up to you to ask for the details if you really wanted them?
