This week I upgraded my Cingular 8525 to Windows Mobile 6 (WM6). I say Cingular instead of AT&T because it is old enough that it is Cingular branded (externally) and needed the last ROM update to be internally AT&T branded. Here are my thoughts from my first weekend with the upgrade:
That is all for now.
We have 5 weeks before the World Championships in Finland and I no longer think there will be an American team in attendance.
We have about 7 weeks to the IFC World Championships and little has changed in the past week. I have talked to the coaches for the coed team, but no reportable progress on the all-girl team. The coed team has the potential to be legendary. All of the alumni I talked to are interested in participating, even moving forward despite the uncertainty. My guess is there will need to be significant progress over the next 2 weeks otherwise we will have to start working towards Germany in 2009, forgetting about Finland.
So far things have been moving pretty slow, but at least things are moving. I’ve had a few conversations with USCF head, Stephanie French, and Marcel Hammond, one of the board members. We are in agreement on the direction we need to head if things are going to work out. I’ve talked to 2 of the 6 coaches I believe need to get involved and have left messages for one of the others. Hopefully he will get back with me this weekend so we can make significant strides before my 7 week update.
The United States is sending teams to compete in the World Cheerleading Championships in November and I may get involved with the organization. The teams are sponsored by the Unites States Cheerleading Federation, chaired by Stephanie French. The Championships will be held in Helsinki, Finland in November. I’ll update my site when I have more information.
Tonight I have started what is going to be a very public redesign of my site. This redesign involves designing a Wordpress theme from scratch for use on my site. You can follow my progress on the Redesign page. Wish me luck.
