Mardi Gras

Happy Mardi Gras.

Today is Super Tuesday, a day in which a lot of states have their political Primaries and a lot of candidates realize if they have an actual chance at becoming the President.

Today many in New York are still attempting to recover from the Giants’ SuperBowl victory and tomorrow many in New Orleans will be recovering from Mardi Gras celebrations. Tomorrow is also Ash Wednesday, or the beginning of Lent. Will you be participating by giving anything up?

TechCrunch also has an interesting article on why YahooSoft or Microhoo may not be all bad.

Super Sunday

The SuperBowl is today. Will the Patriots make history or will the Giants pull off an upset for the history books. People are talking about the Patriots being the greatest team of all time and Tom Brady being the best quarterback ever. Maybe they are right, but we’ll never know. One thing we do know is both Tom and the Patriots need to be mentioned when the conversation of the greatest comes up.

Last night I went to Mark and Rachel’s for Rachel’s birthday party. We also watched the UFC fight. It was fun and the fights were pretty interesting because someone that was seemingly getting his but kicked would reverse a move and have to other guy tap out in a matter of seconds.

That’s all for now. Its about an hour to kickoff so its time to start the party.

February 1st

I’ve been gone for a while, but I have a new philosophy on posting. My plan now is to post more often, but make them a lot shorter, occasionally adding one of my typical multi-paragraph posts. That’s almost it for now, but I also want to comment on Microsoft’s unsolicited bid for Yahoo. Why? I don’t see much advantage in combining two companies that are losing to Google. Microsoft needs to continue its path of smaller acquisitions that pick at Google one piece at a time while Yahoo would be better in the hands of a company that doesn’t currently have a significant online presence; think IBM or AT&T.

By the way, just so everyone knows, I haven’t stopped writing during my break, I just haven’t posted. I have over a dozen drafts that haven’t found there way to the website, but may slowly appear post dated.
